Services
The West Michigan Nurse Honor Guard serves families of men and women who have dedicated their lives to the nursing profession.
The WMNHG is a group of volunteer nurses who provide honorary services to nursing colleagues who have passed away.
We are not affiliated with any formal organization.
We will stand present at the funeral services as a presence to honor their dedication to the nursing profession. The "Nurses Prayer" or "She was There" will be read by one of the WMNHG. It is also an option for either to be read at the gravesite if the family wishes.
Presentation of a white flower on top of the casket or within will be placed to symbolize purity. A Florence Nightingale Lamp will be presented to family to recognize service to the nursing profession.
